Taught over 12 days, the IDC has both water and classroom sessions that expand on the knowledge you already have as a PADI Divemaster (those with similar ratings from another agency can cross over to the appropriate part of the course).
The IDC expands on how to teach PADI courses, both the skills and the knowledge portions. It demonstrates how to make best use of all the PADI facilities available to professional members. It gives candidates an opportunity to practice and hone all these skills before they undertake the final two-day Instructor Exam.
